Legal
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern enrolment in courses at ClearSpeak Language Centre, operated by ClearSpeak Education Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 202101018742 (1417368-P)), and your use of this website. By enrolling — in person, by phone or through this site — you accept them. They are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
1. Placement and enrolment
Every group-course enrolment follows a placement assessment, which is free and carries no obligation. A seat is confirmed once we receive your signed enrolment form (or a parent's or guardian's, for students under 18) and the first payment. Seats are personal and cannot be transferred to another person without our written agreement.
2. Fees and payment
Fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit and cover tuition and standard course materials; external examination fees are charged by the examining body separately. Termly fees may be paid in full or in two equal instalments, the second due before week five of the term. We accept bank transfer, major cards and DuitNow. An enrolment with an overdue instalment may be suspended until payment is received.
3. Timetables and changes
We may reschedule a lesson, change a teacher, or merge under-enrolled groups where necessary to run the school properly. If we cancel a class, the lesson is made up or the pro-rated fee credited — your choice. If a course cannot run at all, you receive a full refund of unused fees; the details are set out in our Return & Refund Policy.
4. Attendance and conduct
Missed lessons are not refunded, but materials are posted to the student portal and a weekly catch-up hour is available free of charge. We expect respectful behaviour towards staff and fellow learners; we may exclude, without refund, a student whose conduct is abusive, discriminatory or persistently disruptive — a written warning comes first except in serious cases.
5. Materials and copyright
Course materials, worksheets and portal content are ours or our licensors' and are for your personal study only. Recording lessons requires the teacher's advance consent and must never capture other students without theirs.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Malaysian law. Beyond that, our liability in connection with a course is limited to the fees you paid for that course. We are not responsible for personal belongings at the centre or for events beyond our reasonable control, though we will always try to minimise disruption from them.
7. Website use
Content on make-itclean.com is provided for general information and may change without notice. You may not scrape, republish or misrepresent it. Enquiry data submitted through the site is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Contact and disputes
Complaints go first to the centre manager at [email protected] — almost everything is resolved this way within a week. Failing that, disputes fall under the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
