Privacy Policy

ClearSpeak Education Sdn. Bhd. (“ClearSpeak”, “we”, “us”), operator of make-itclean.com and the ClearSpeak Language Centre in Kuala Lumpur, processes personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). This notice explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is issued in English; a Bahasa Malaysia version is available at our centre on request, and under the PDPA the English version applies to this website.

1. What we collect

We collect personal data you give us directly: your name, email address and phone number when you submit an enquiry through this site; and, if you enrol as a student, your date of birth, identification or passport number, emergency contact, level assessment results and attendance and payment records. For learners under 18, we collect a parent's or guardian's details and consent instead. This website itself sets only the cookies described in our Cookie Policy.

2. Why we collect it

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, run placement tests, deliver and administer courses, issue certificates and progress reports, process fees, meet legal and accounting obligations, and — only if you opt in — tell you about new intakes and events. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

3. Who can see it

Within ClearSpeak, access is limited to staff who need it for the purposes above. We share data with third parties only where necessary to run the school: our payment processor for fee transactions, our accredited examination partners when you register for an external exam, and professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it. Any service provider we use is bound by contract to protect your data.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry data that does not lead to enrolment is deleted within twelve months. Student records are kept for seven years after your last course, matching Malaysian tax and record-keeping requirements, then securely destroyed. You may ask us to delete data sooner wherever no legal duty requires us to keep it.

5. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent to marketing at any time, and limit processing in certain circumstances. 6. Security

Student records are held in access-controlled systems, paper files are locked at our centre, and this website is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we review our safeguards regularly and restrict access on a need-to-know basis.

7. Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date above. Material changes affecting current students will also be announced by email.
